 Questo itinerario ci guida in un incantevole giro panoramico della fascia costiera compresa tra Monte Stella e la foce del torrente Salso. Sei chilometri di natura selvaggia con un succedersi di habitat: duna, falesia, zona umida, macchia mediterranea, colture tradizionali e, sul mare, la prateria di Poseidonia Oceanica. La fauna che é possibile incontrare é varia: l'istrice, corvi imperiali, rapaci; sulla spiaggia limicoli, trampolieri e uno stormo di gabbiani.
The itinerary of the Nature Orientated Reserve of Torre Salsa begins from the center,property of the Province of Agrigento, and runs for about 4 kilometers allowing one to see the different habitat: the valley of the phoenician juniper, the evergreen mediteranean shrub, and the oasis, property of the WWF, where it is possible to pause and view the cliffs with its numerous plants, the crystals of gypsum, the dune vegetation and lastly the almost immersed reefs. All along the trail it is possible to catch sight of birds of prey like imperial crows, sea-gulls, and during the migratory periods also cranes, herons, and spoonbills. |
